Who Are You as an Executive Coach?
As a leadership coach, I’m committed to working with clients to deepen their awareness of identity and purpose and to facilitate the development of the skills needed to meet the demands of leadership in the modern-day business world.
Importantly, the general view of what constitutes good leadership has broadened and deepened not just to include human skills and personal development but an acceptance that emotional intelligence and psychological awareness are critical as well.
Considering this, through my work as a coach, I aim to support and challenge leaders to be more engaged, resilient, and to develop the human qualities necessary to address the evolving needs of individuals, workforces, and societies in the 21st Century.
What Is Your Approach to Executive Coaching?
Increasingly, leadership and leadership development are seen as inherently collaborative, social, and relational processes which require self-awareness and values that will ensure sustainability, transparency, and honesty.
My leadership coaching approach is concerned with the whole human being, working with the inner dimension of feelings, motivations, meaning, purpose, and identity and with the outer realm of behaviour and performance and how they inter-relate.
This requires a psychological framework and practical experience of leading in complex environments, both of which I bring to challenge mindsets and assumptions and to provide a different set of lenses to support the development of self-awareness, the foundation of leadership development and individual fulfilment.
What’s Your Superpower, and What Are You Known For?
My own leadership transitions from leading self, leading through others, and leading teams of leaders in a complex environment provide a significant resource from which to understand the commercial and personal pressures that clients are under and provide context for more meaningful coaching conversations.
Having worked across different cultures, organisations, and disciplines managing expectations, political agendas, and delivering significant products to tight timelines and budgets, I can understand and empathise authentically with many of the professional development issues clients have presented to me.
What Do You Like About Working With The Leadership Coaches?
Without hesitation, I can say the values lived by The Leadership Coaches have most closely resonated with my own to catalyse leadership development.
These include, not exclusively, a drive for excellence in every aspect of our delivery, working with a diverse and highly skilled group of experienced coaches to create a learning environment, and a desire to make coaching more available and affordable to a broader section of the workforce with the flexibility to optimise coaching programmes to meet the needs of the client.
How Do You Bring Your Expertise to What You Do With The Leadership Coaches?
I have over 30 years of professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry, with extensive experience in the leadership of people at a departmental/divisional level. I have led significant change projects with large global multi-functional teams.
Additionally, I hold a postgraduate certificate in psychosynthesis leadership coaching, enhancing my ability to work psychologically as a coach at a deeper level of awareness of human behaviour and organisational systems.
Typically, I work with clients who want to:
Develop their leadership capacity.
Transition to new, more challenging roles.
Change direction in their career.
Attain a better work/life balance and build resilience.
Deal with difficult relationships at work.
Build organisational strategy or deal with the complexity of their work environments.
Become better communicators and influencers.
I always want clients to be more aware of themselves, more confident, and grounded about what matters to them and to create options for change.
